latest for Scrapbook Divas, A Little Mother, and her baby Esmeralda

Bronte just re-discovered my Doll, we dressed her again and Bronte showed me how you carry babies, so they want fall down, she really showed a gentle side that Maternal instinct we are all born with. I remember doing the same thing with this doll, and its a real treat to see her being played with again.
Although later that night little footsteps were heard and B entered my room, holding Esmeralda,
' Mum you can have her back, I don't need her anymore!"
" But who will love her Bronte?"
" You can!"
and she ran off...........
a little later, Footsteps again, " Mum is just that I don't want sticking into me things in my bed I just want soft things in my bed with me"

"Thats ok sweetie, I'll always love Esmeralda "
Cherry Arte Papers I just loved loved loved doing this layout as as you may or may not be aware I often suffer from the " I can scrap anymore" syndrome and these papers were on my desk for a good three days, while I walked past and shuffled them around. Then all the sudden, the layout comes to life.
Thanks for dropping buy Bloggers and I'll catch up with you all very soon!

Well hello fellow bloggers!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and happy.
Wow!!!!! did you see I got 13 comments on my last post, I so happy you all took the time to look at my work and then to leave a comment, that's all so very nice of you, I'm truly humbled.
Thank you.
I'm having trouble accessing blogs to leave comments from home, sometimes I can get in sometimes I cant, just letting you know I am surfing, and I see all you posts, its very frustrating.

I'm not sure if I like this layout or not, it was completed for Bonscraps CC last week , she wanted us to scrap a childhood photo. I dunno?,...... its to wishy washy, I recon.
Hey Jode did you notice all the primas I've used? I went a little mad, didn't I?
hahaha!

anyway,.....
Have you guys seen this layout?

I did this for Forever Always CC last weekend, as I recall the challenge was "scraplifting" or "inspired by". I chose a layout from the Freestyle book, think it was a Zina Wright, thanks Zina, had loads of fun with this. Use a little left over scraps for this one. Its really amazing what you can do with all those left overs.
I need to tell you have adorable little Lisa is, we took the recycled litter out from the bottom of her cage, as we thought it was hindering her performance in the wheel and her little yellow car. We set about lining her cage with nice soft toilet paper, lots of layers so she would be warm, and feel like she was walking on pillows. hehehe
Well when we woke in the morning, and went to see her, she had been very busy ripping up all the toilet paper and transferring it upstairs to her sleeping quarters. way too funny, she must have been exhausted!!

Ali's Challenge

While surfing some blogs I can across this Challenge on Ali Stafford Blog:http://www.alistafford.blogspot.com/
take the time to visit her blog for further details.
Here are some:
"I want you all to post in your blogs 10 of your layouts. It doesn't matter if you've already uploaded them to your blog before - just think of it as giving us all a "refresher".
Now - these 10 layouts - they have to be a *certain* 10.
I want to see the 10 layouts which are either:

(a) your favourite 10 layouts; or
(b) the 10 layouts that you're most proud of; or
(c) 10 layouts that have some really special significance ; or
(d) a combination of any of the above!"

Here we go:This is one of my most recent, using Rhonna Farrer stamps and white paint. Great Photo.

This second one is of Jacks good friend Cody playing in the sand pit with Baby Born, hehe too funny. Fabric Flowers.

The third is of Jack having a ice cream down the beach at Torquay, this was done for the 123 Challenge.
This is an old one, very simple, but I just love the colours. I actually covered the WeR Memonry Keepers letters with cardstock to match, took ages!
This one has to be at least 2 years old, I'll never rip this one up! LOL.lLove the colours in this also, that blue I just adore. oh! now this one, was a mistake, I accedently printed this photo on a4 but it worked out OK, this was a milestone for me, the 1st time I'd written on a photograph.
another milestone, this was the 1st layout I'd incorporated hand stitching and doodling.

I choose this one as I adore the feel and the colours in the photos, this was done in my Fabric period, I couldn't stop using it! Funny thought when people see it they only see the word" bum", not the wordbeach! LOL Another 123 Challenge, RF stamps again, very subtle.
oh now this one is old too, did this for that For Keeps competition, think I only entered once!

Welcome Lisa.......

Well as promised, Jack finally got his Mouse today, her name is Lisa and she is so beautiful.

However I do think she is missing her brothers and sisters as she seems so lonely, I checked her just now and she is huddled in a tight little ball with her nose all the way under her tummy, between her back feet.

Wayyyyyyy to cute, I love her already.

My sister turned 50!!!

She's a party girl, she has a party house, she a art collector and a world traveller!

No shes not wearing wings, just a quirky photo I guess, she is actually standing in front of a piece of art work, a statue of a Angel. Looks cool though!
Her daughter Lindsay on the right and step daughter Clare on the left, did a wonderful job on the speeches, very very funny!

Then Phil, her partner made a speech, then the traditional song was sung, by us all, a funny twist on " These are a few of my favourite things" all related to Fiona's life. Way too funny!

The next photo is of Fiona and I, there is 10 years difference, yup so that means I'll be forty this year, and I'm telling you, its making me feel sick!
Its was stinking hot!, There was no breeze, we left about 11 o'clock, Bronte fell asleep in the car just after we drove past Luna Park.
I remember doing the same with my parents, when we were out, but in my case it was passing the drive in movies in Burwood.
Chat soon Girls!

Scrapbooking Memories Vol 8 No 8

Well I haven't actually seen this Mag yet, but so I have been informed, my Poppet below has been published in there, but the silly people have got the names of the artists mixed up so this one actually does not have my name underneath it. Sheesh!!! what a disappointment! So has this Poppet my niece Lindsay created on the same day I did mine. She made a poppet of her sister Hayley, its just amazing considering Lindsay is not a experienced scrapper! and boy am I jealous she got published straight away!, and here I am submitting layout every week, hoping and preying they will pick one of mine.

So I've gone Poppet mad!! and made another two today, I've started a journal and this is the 1st page to it, with Bronte as a Poppet Fairy!

and this handsome guy is a bloke at work who asked me to do one for him, I hope he likes it!
See you all later guys, take care!

Now I have another layout to share with you:

I was at http://www.scraptherapy.com.au on the weekend and completed one of Nat's challenges, we were to take inspiration from her site design, its very 1590's and some of the girls did some brilliant work. I like doing this, I like that I'd used loads of my Alohas, gee I get sick of them quick!
Oh and it appears I won a prize on the top50CC, for the layout of did of Simone, Its a Urban Lilly pack and I'm so thrilled my Layout was chosen, thanks Top50 and Urban Lilly!
Oh and other news, I've finally had a layout accepted for Scrapbooking Creations, for issue 43, it was the layout titles Lucky.
Phew I must say, Phew I've been anxious to be published and now that one has been accepted I feel like I can now breathe a little easier.
Loads to say I hope to god!, this was not boring for you to read.
Oh and I'm most likely going to sell the SIZZIX Machine and accessories, so if anyone in Melb would like to buy it, we could work something out.
Chat to you all again very soon!
Bye for now

First day of School for Bronte

I guess I could say its been a long time coming.

Kinder last year was a nightmare, two 1/2 day and one full day,....... and by full it meant she finished at 3.15!!!

Child care in this State is a disgrace and an insult to working mothers.

At age 4, most children are ready to spend more than a morning with their peers, most mothers have returned to work and need the community support.

I was longing for this day to come, but behold the State had more little surprises for me , Preppies don't attend School on Wed! Why I don't know? My child just wants to go to school, why do the Education Dept feel the need to limit School Starters?????

Is there care provided at the School on these Wednesdays, No!

Why would there be??

All us mothers sit at home baking cakes, well don't we??

Sheesh am I alone on this???

Anyway much to the Education Departments surprise, Bronte is ready for school and cant wait to get there everyday. The transition has been very successful, a little hiccup though, she seems no to fit into her shoes anymore!!

My sister did say her girls grew out off everything at the beginning of the school year, shoes and uniforms. Guess this is the case with Bronte, we tried every pair she had this morning, to no avail.

Throughout the summer she just wore slip ons, and not much else, especially at the Beach................anyway these are a few happy snaps from yesterday.

123 CHALLENGE

Phew!............. I seriously did not think I'd be doing this challenge, as I'm so OVER fabric, but the better part of me took over and I completed this one Sat night.

The challenge was to create a page made up of Fabric , lots of Chipboard and Main Focus on Journalling.
I'm finding journalling comes a little easier lately, but I am increasingly frustrated by haveing to " go over" my original writing, does anyone else have that problem?

I did this 1st layout for Bonscraps CC,http://www.bonsscraps.com.au/

My Heart jumps.........

Just been reading Elsie Flannigan's blog and she has shown us the little things around her apartment that makes her smile,................... I made a mini album of the things I adore in my possession. Which is in a previous post somewhere? LOL
Here are just a few. Will take photos and upload some more tomorrow.
Those cups are really tiny, so sweet they were made chilkdrens tea parties!
I have two Vintage Toy Prams, Bronte enjoys playing with them, but they are still very dear to me. I just adore the cutsy stickers on the side, so tacky!
I love my Enamel jugs, these are reproduction, but I was sucked in by the spots, give me spots anyday, cant get enough of spots and dots!
I have two wooden childrens chairs, tainted , all the white paint chiped and peeling.
There form part of Bronte craft table.
This is a photo is of a reproduction childs rocking chair, the turned back and legs are way to attractive!
Thanks for you comments guys!

Summer..................

Were back from the beach!!! for a little while anyway. For those of you who dont know, we set up our caravan down at Torquay from December to April every year.

I like to spend the school Holidays down there with the kids, but this year I've come home for a little while.

I miss my scrapping and have so many ideas I need to get down, it was tearing me apart.

I have some photos to share,..... not many mind you, dont know why but I did not get the camera as often as I would normally.

There are always many parties down the beach, last weekend a wonderful lady celebrated her 60th Birthday with a full-on Torquay Party!!

The food was delicious, there was plenty of booze and laughter, its so relaxing that people would just pop off for a swim, only to come back refreshed and ready for more.

It rained all day but that could never dampen the Torquay spirit!

Her family suprised us all with MR Whippy for desert, we all stuffed our faces with Ice Cream and Gelati.....................

I think Jack and Bronte had two helpings!!
Hope everyone is well, I'll talk to you all very soon!
